Cake Pops Baked in Shaped Pans

  • 9 x 9 in. Baking Pan

  • 1 box (9 oz.) Duncan Hines Snack Cake Mix (any flavor)
  • 3 eggs (use 3 egg whites only for Confetti Flavor Snack Cake Mix)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 can (16 oz.) Duncan Hines Creamy Home-Style Frosting (any flavor)

Makes:24 cake pops baked in shape pan.

  1. step 1

In bowl of electric mixer, mix all ingredients on low speed for 30 seconds. Scrape bowl; mix on medium speed for 2 minutes.

  2. step 2

Prepare pan with vegetable pan spray and place on cookie sheet for stability. Fill each cavity 2/3 full with cake batter.

  3. step 3

Bake 10-12 minutes, or until a skin has formed on top of each cake.

  4. step 4

Insert sticks straight down into each cavity, taking care not to jostle them in the cake once inserted. Return to oven and bake an additional 5-6 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.

  5. step 5

Cool pops for 15 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely before decorating.

  6. In a microwave safe bowl, melt Duncan Hines Creamy Home-Style Frosting for 30 seconds on 50% power; stir to distribute heat evenly. Continue microwaving for 15 second intervals at 50% power until icing is warmed and thin. Dip pops in melted frosting and gently shake off excess. Place larger pops on cooling grid positioned over a cookie pan. Pour or pip melted frosting over the pops to cover; excess icing will drip over sides of pops. Frosting will set as it cools.
